About

Bridge & Beacon is a small cultural storytelling project focused on history, memory, and how people relate to place.

Right now, the work lives mostly through long-form writing and research. Some pieces are reflective and personal, others are more historical, but all of it is meant to slow things down rather than summarize or package culture into something easy to consume.

This project is still early and evolving. I’m building it as I go, learning what’s possible, and being honest about what it is and isn’t yet.

Bridge & Beacon currently runs on a subscription model that supports the time and care required for long-form cultural work.

Some writing is free and open to everyone. Longer, more in-depth cultural pieces are available to subscribers. There are two membership tiers:

Digital Explorer ($10/month): Access to subscriber-only long-form cultural posts and related digital materials for each month’s focus.

Cultural Dispatch ($20/month): Includes everything in Digital Explorer, plus a monthly mailed dispatch. Each dispatch includes a small printed booklet related to the month’s culture, a physical cultural card, and a simple hands-on element (such as a DIY postcard or recipe)

Mission & Vision

Mission: To explore culture through history, memory, and lived experience, without turning it into content or spectacle.

Vision: Over time, I hope Bridge & Beacon can grow into something that supports cultural knowledge more directly — including potential collaborations with artisans and cultural practitioners.

Those relationships take time and trust, and I’m approaching that part of the work carefully and without guarantees.

Core Values: Cultural care over consumption | Learning before representation | Transparency about scope and limitations | Slow, intentional work
